Pada tanggal 19 Juli 2008 yang lalu, seperti biasa, saya menerima email spam dari xp.training07@gmail.com walaupun email spam ini tidak berbeda dengan yang lain secara konsep dan tujuan, namun ada yang sedikit menarik dari spam ini.

 

Sebenarnya email ini langsung masuk ke folder Junk Mail pada Live Mail yang saya gunakan dan sangat disayangkan memang, lembaga usaha seperti XP Training ini melakukan promosi-nya melalui SPAM.

 

Namun kali ini ada yang sedikit menarik, yaitu materi training yang ditawarkan. Terlepas dari benar atau tidak, materi training yang ditawarkan itu benar-benar menggelitik untuk dikomentari.

 

Bagaimana sebuah organisasi yang profit oriented seperti XP Training itu mengambil subjek masyarakat asli/pedalaman yang berdiam dipulau Kalimantan dan Sumatera sebagai bisnis baru.

 

Barangkali didorong dari maraknya kegiatan investasi dikedua pulau tersebut, yang notabene masih memiliki lahan yang luas dibandingkan dengan pulau Jawa yang semakin sempit dari hari ke hari.

 

Kegiatan Community Development yang dicanangkan pemerintah, benar-benar merupakan peluang dan ladang bisnis baru bagi sebagian pihak. Sebut saja, biro iklan, komunitas basis, bahkan tidak jarang merupakan lahan bisnis baru bagi ‘oknum-oknum’ yang memiliki akses dan kesempatan untuk ‘bermain’ di ComDev itu.

 

Bagi saya pribadi yang sangat disayangkan, adalah training semacam ini hanya berdampak positif bagi kalangan korporat saja, tanpa benar-benar menitik beratkan perhatian-nya kepada masyarakat asli/pedalaman itu sendiri.
